People’s Food Co-op is a member owned food cooperative that has been in operation since 1970. The members have always maintained a commitment to sustainable products and incorporated many green design elements into their recent expansion.

The Hawthorne Condominiums ecoroof stemmed from neighborhood requests for incorporating green elements in the development, as well as the owner’s desire to provide a visual “front yard” to the residents and to reduce summer heat and glare. This is one of our first projects, back when we were a non-profit.
